Dr Alison Middleton is a classicist, comedian and climate change organiser based in London.
She is currently a Stipendiary Lecturer in Classics at Oxford University, where she recently completed a PhD on laughter in ancient tragedy as a scholar at Jesus College.
Alison runs the initiative Comedy vs Climate Change, organising and hosting community comedy events across the UK, and she edits the site’s climate-change awareness blog, The Dump.
